Where to go to purchase a vehicle battery
In this article I’m going to provide you with the names of a few places you might like to check out when buying a new car battery, if you’ve got no prior experience in this field I can tell you that it can be a bit of a mine field. There’s a few things that can go wrong when buying a battery for a vehicle which you need to be aware of and take caution to avoid.
Car batteries, much like food, go bad if they are left untouched for too long. This may surprise you seeing as how most car parts can remain in perfect working condition for many years without being used. Six months is about as long as you should leave a battery stored in a warehouse before it is installed into a car. Any longer and it will have lost a significant amount of its power and you’d be advised against buying it. For this reason I expressly recommend against purchasing such a product from gas stations, since you have no idea how long it could have been sitting in the back room.
Sears and Firestone are very good companies to do business with and I can’t recommend them highly enough They are always praised for offering only the most high-functioning batteries and they don’t leave them sitting in warehouses for too long. If you want to be certain you’re getting the best battery you can then I suggest buying from either of these two retailers. This brings me to my point about ignoring car battery prices – sure you may be able to purchase a battery for less from a gas station, but the quality of the product you purchase will be questionable.
If you want to take care of your car in the best way you can then you’ll want to store it in the right environment. Check out my article about garage flooring to see how you can get your garage looking great.
